I love to cook for my family. I love cooking for our friends…
I do… BUT

Sometimes, constantly baking every week, over and over again, can become a little monotonous and tiresome. If you’re like me, you often wonder how you can improve the quality of your baking while simultaneously making it more fun. Here are some of the best kitchen tools to elevate baking at home.

 1. Non- toxic Bakeware

I typically don’t recommend purchasing sets of kitchen items- ever. There’s always something in the mix that you know you’ll never use. But that isn’t the case with this bakeware set by Caraway. This Caraway bakeware set really satisfies a lot of the basic needs that exist when you’re first starting out in your kitchen. So, if you’re looking to replace or upgrade your current bakeware, I would highly consider this set.  One of the features I love about this bakeware set is that it is a clean and non- toxic product. The beauty of cooking with non-toxic materials is that it won’t leak unwanted chemicals into your food. I think this fact alone is hugely important. Additionally, the design is classic and straightforward. I love that it isn’t overly decorative. As for the color palates, the dark blue option is my current favorite because it matches other items that I have in my kitchen. When these pans acquire their natural wear and tear, the dark blue finish will disguise some of those markings. 2. Expandable cooling rack

Have you ever made a batch of cookies and found you could barely fit them on your cooling rack? Yes, Me too! If you have ever wanted more space to cool your baked items on, then you should to check out this expandable cooling rack. This product is great for baking large batches of cookies, muffins, or layer cakes. These cooling racks can hold much more than a standard cooling rack can.I purchased my first expandable cooling rack when I was baking pumpkin bread for friends and family for the holidays. I quickly learned that baking more than one loaf at a time, meant that I needed a large cooling rack. Before this circumstance, it never occurred to me to invest in a large cooling rack. Over the years, it has truly come in handy!

If you love to back for your family and friends, you should definitely look into this expandable cooling rack: https://amzn.to/44sig9L

3. Deep Pie dish

The ruffled edge of this deep pie dish gives it an old- world charm that I adore. It is simple enough for everyday use and beautiful enough to set out on the table for company. This pie dish feels especially perfect in the colder months. I love using it for both sweet and savory pies! While I do utilize metal pie tins for making pumpkin pies, custard pies and berry pies because of their more compact and dense filling, those pie tins just don’t accommodate a more chunky and bountiful pie filling. The Emile Henry deep pie dish looks absolutely stunning when I’m making an apple pie. It feels like something right out of a story book when I put it out of the oven for the holidays. Yet, this dish is also wonderful for chicken pot pies. In the past, I have also doubled its purposes by using it to serve fruit salads. This is dish is as versatile as it is beautiful. 4. Decorative cake pan

Ohh… I love a good decorative cake pan! It takes the everyday cake and makes it exciting and stunningly beautiful. I particularly love using decorative cake pans when it’s the holiday season. There’s somethings so fun about bringing out a holiday spice cake that’s in an elegant tiered shape. During the Fall, I really love making pumpkin bread for my loved ones. For this recipe, I always use a bread loaf pan that has adorable pumpkins on it. These decorative pans just make everything feel so festive. Your baked goods will come out more beautiful but you have exerted no extra effort. Pouring your family’s favorite cake batter into a beautiful tin makes your creations visually delicious.  5. Ramekins

If you’ve ever seen these in your local cooking store, you might be thinking, “These are really cute… but what do I do with them?” Ramekins can be used for so many wonderful types of dishes. There are different types and shapes of ramekins that you can purchase. Each style of dish is well-suited to a variety of dishes. For these particular ramekins that I’ve linked here, I have loved creating mini crème brûlées, pana cotta,  individual brownies  and fruit crumbles. The options are only limited by your creativity because of the individual portioning size of these dishes. If you’ve never tried using mini ramekins, I highly recommend you consider it. They’re very inexpensive and are a really good investment for your kitchen. You’ll love the look of them at your next dinner party. 6. Pre-cut Baking Sheets

This final recommendation has truly been a game changer for me. Pre- Cut Baking Sheets make baking prep so much easier. I always use parchment paper when I’m making cookies and baking bread loaves. Yet, the dispensing box begins to fall apart as it gets used more. It becomes more and more difficult to tear off clean portions of paper. I like being organized when I cook and so it visually bothers me when my parchment paper gets ripped or is torn. I absolutely love being able to just take out a fresh, new baking sheet. It’s neat, orderly and it’s one of those little things that just makes me happy. I have linked the pre- cut parchment sheets and aluminum foil sheets that I use most. I hope these items make your cooking and cleaning more effortless.

These kitchen tool recommendations are intended to inspire you to try something new in your cooking routine. I know, from experience, that each of these tools can improve your baking. Happy Cooking!

May your home always be filled with family, friends and delicious food.

Cheers to you and those you love,

Sarah
